Si è svolta ieri a Londra la cerimonia di premiazione dei Golden Joystick Awards. Premiazione che ha visto The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild trionfare come “Game of The Year”, gioco dell’anno. E’ quindi  Nintendo a portarsi a casa l’ambito trofeo, la stessa Nintendo che era in gara con ben due titoli su cinque. Oltre a Zelda, si sono giocati il “Game of The Year” Super Mario Odyssey, PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, Persona 5 e Horizon: Zero Dawn. Un successo annunciato, vista anche l’oggettiva poca sensazionalità presente nelle liste di quest’anno. Il fatto che un gioco in early access fosse tra i candidati la dice lunga, aldilà di quanto possa piacere o meno. E’ proprio PUBG a portarsi a casa il premio di “Best Multiplayer Game”, e va bene così. Cuphead è “Xbox Game of the Year”, Overwatch “eSports Game of the Year” mentre il gioco più atteso è risultato The Last of Us Part II. Era forse questo il premio più combattuto, che personalmente avrei indiscutibilmente assegnato a Red Dead Redemption 2.
Ricordatevi, comunque, che i premi sono stati assegnati a seguito di votazioni on-line rivolte a tutti gli utenti. Tutti tranne il “Critics’ Choice Award”, il che ci ricorda, anche questa volta, che spesso non c’è differenza tra “il popolino” e il critico luminare. Se ‘nce capisci ‘ncazz* ‘nce capisci ‘ncazz*.
