The site Kotaku reports some rumors coming from "more sources that are familiar with the project" and that indicate with certainty (or almost) the arrival of a remastered collection of Spyro, with an operation similar to what was achieved with Crash Bandictoot N. Sane Trilogy. The collection will cover the first three games, Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage! e Year of the Dragon and will feature a huge visual review as well as improvements to the original game rescue system. At work on such remastered there should be the same team that was dedicated to the collection of Crash Bandicoot, Vicarious Visions.

Kotaku also reports that the game will be announced next month for PlayStation 4 and will be released this year for the Sony console. The game will also arrive on other platforms not better specified in the 2019.
