Nintendo registered a patent in the United States that could revolutionize the local multiplayer.

The patent, registered the 12 April, describes the system as "a multitude of devices processing information that is able to communicate with each other."

In other words, it will use multiple screens - which could be two separate devices - where the actions on one screen are replicated on the other, and the information will be shared between the two. The patent shows an object sent from one screen to another, or the movement recorded by a screen shown on the other.

Probably this is a technology that will be used in the near future, even considering the success of Switch.
