This year seems pretty quiet for Sony. Days Gone has just come out but the gaming giant will miss the E3 2019 and, as far as we know, there are no shows or streaming scheduled. It is also hoped that the 2019 is the year in which we will finally have a release date for the latest exclusive Sony games that should be released on PlayStation 4 as The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding. A little news comes to us from an insider and concerns the sequel to The Last of Us.

In a discussion on Resetera on the game, in which there was talk of the possible date of publication, the user Aokiji (who had revealed Sony's State of Play in advance) said:

"Considering that we will have an official update on The Last of Us Part II before the E3, it would be really weird if it weren't in the 2019."

If Aokiji's comment proves to be reliable we may have more information on the game by May as the E3 2019 will start on June 7.

Sony, as we have already said, will not participate in the event and has no confirmed event or parallel announcement so far, so it is likely that this news comes in the form of live streams within a State of Play, the so-called Direct of Sony. Maybe we could take a closer look at the gameplay of the game, the details of the story or even a possible release date that we always hope isn't too far away. Aokiji also hinted at a release by the end of the 2019 but maybe it's a bit too optimistic.
