Perfect World Entertainment e Cryptic Studios they officially announced Magic: Legends, an MMO set in the iconic world of Magic: The Gathering. As stated in the press release, fans will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Magic's acclaimed imaginary multiverse as a Planeswalker.

The development of this MMO is part of a licensing partnership between Wizards of the Coast and Cryptic Studios following the success of Neverwinter, the MMO based on the Dungeons & Dragons board game. The team that is currently developing Magic: Legends is directed by Stephen Ricossa, former executive producer of Star Trek Online.
