All the "pokéfanatici" have waited for him since the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield, eager to be able manage and replenish your Pokédex, embracing the monsters temporarily abandoned on other shores of pixels. Thanks to Pokémon Home we will therefore be able to make our Boxes communicate through different titles, but not only. A Nintendo press release informs us today that the arrival of the service is imminent, it will be available starting from February 2020. Here is the release with all the details:

Today, The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo revealed more details about Pokémon HOME, the new application that offers a cloud-based service. The app allows Trainers to continue their adventures beyond individual consoles and organize their Pokémon collection across numerous games. Pokémon HOME is scheduled to launch in February 2020 for iOS and Android devices and for Nintendo Switch.

Conceived as a place where all Pokémon can gather, Pokémon HOME will allow Trainers to transfer Pokémon from connected main series video games and store them in cloud boxes or move them between connected compatible games.[1] Furthermore, by linking the same Nintendo Account to the version of Pokémon HOME for Nintendo Switch and that for mobile devices, fans will be able to access the same Boxes on both versions of the application. The Nintendo Switch version supports linking to the following Nintendo Switch games: Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee !. Both versions of Pokémon HOME for Nintendo Switch and for mobile devices support linking with the Pokémon Bank app for Nintendo 3DS.[2] Support for linking with Pokémon GO is currently under development.

Connect Pokémon HOME to Pokémon games

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield can be linked to the version of Pokémon HOME for Nintendo Switch. Once logged in, users will be able to deposit or withdraw Pokémon that can be obtained in these games.

Also Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! can be linked to the version of Pokémon HOME for Nintendo Switch. Users will be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! to Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! and vice versa, or move them from these games to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. When a Pokémon is transferred from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! o Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! to Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, it will no longer be possible to bring it back to the game it came from.

Users who own the premium (paid) service will also be able to move Pokémon from Nintendo 3DS games to Pokémon HOME using the Pokémon Bank. Pokémon transferred from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME can no longer be returned to Pokémon Bank.

To celebrate the release of Pokémon HOME, the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transfer will be available for free for one month from the release date. Trainers will be able to transfer Pokémon from previous main series games using the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transfer. After they have transferred their Pokémon to Pokémon Bank, they will be able to transfer them to Pokémon HOME.

Swap Pokémon
There are four ways to trade Pokémon via Pokémon HOME using a mobile device. This means that you can trade Pokémon anytime, wherever you are.

  • Pokémon deposited in the Prodigious box can be exchanged with players from all over the world. The exchange can take place even while you are not using Pokémon HOME.
  • Thanks to Global Trade System, fans will be able to specify which Pokémon they want to offer for an exchange and which ones they want to receive. At that point, if their requirements and those of another Trainer match, they will be paired together.
  • Lo group exchange instead it allows you to create a virtual group to exchange Pokémon with the players who access it. Each group can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 people. Group exchange is available at no cost, but users will only be able to create a group if they have the premium (paid) service.
  • Lo exchange with friends allows Trainers to trade their Pokémon with users in their vicinity after they become friends on Pokémon HOME. They can do this using the “Add a Friend” option on Pokémon HOME.[3]
