Doctor Strange 2 may have found a new director.
Marvel Studios is in fact in negotiation no less than with Sam Raimi, director of The House, Drag me to Hell in addition, of course, to the trilogy of Spiderman us Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man.
Raimi would take the place of Scott Derrickson, director initially designated for the role, who had abandoned the project following "Creative differences" us Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios.
In fact, the two would not have agreed on the "horror" direction to be given to the film, leading the director of Sinister e The Exorcism of Emily Rose to give up continuing with the saga of which he had directed the first chapter.
Raimi, a director also coming from horror cinema, would be a choice in continuity with the idea of making Doctor Strange 2 following more shades "scary".
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will begin production in May of this year with release date scheduled for May 2021 and will see again Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role.
