The news came directly from Hasbro, who communicated it during an event dedicated to investors held at New York Toy Fair, annual event organized by the US Toy Industry Association. The fair is currently underway and will end on February 25th.
The game, therefore, will follow the same process of release of other titles developed by Larian Studios, or passing through an initial phase in early access.
Hasbro said it has seven more games inspired by the Dungeons & Dragons universe in development and to aim to release Baldur's Gate 3 and Dark Alliance before the end of 2020. The other games, however, will be released annually until 2025.
As we have previously reported to you, Larian will reveal the first gameplay of Baldur's Gate 3 at PAX East 2020, to be precise on February 27th at 21.30pm Italian time. In preparation for the event, the software house has released a short teaser announcement trailer.
The final release, as well as on Steam, it will also happen on GOG, the digital market owned by CDProjekt RED.
There are no plans, at least as reported by Larian, for a release on Epic Games Store.
