The global gaming industry urges players to comply with COVID-19 health and safety guidelines; provides information and social connection

Operators in the vast global gaming sector have agreed today to disseminate key messages from the World Health Organization to help curb the spread of COVID-19. To promote the diffusion of these messages, 18 gaming industry leaders operating in the interactive entertainment branch launched the #PlayApartTogether initiative to urge the wide audience of users of their networks to follow the health guidelines outlined by the WHO, including physical distancing, hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene and other effective preventive measures that people can take to combat COVID-19.

By offering special events, exclusive content, activities, awards and inspiration in some of the world's most popular games, #PlayApartTogether encourages users to observe best practices to protect their health and that of their families and communities in where they live. By embedding messages on how to protect yourself from COVID-19 in games, the industry is telling the world, "Wherever you are, whatever the game you are playing, you can make a difference." The program joined:

Activision Blizzard

Amazon Appstore

Big Fish Games
