Disney + has managed to arrive in just over six months 50 million members, an even more significant result considering that it arrived in Europe for a few weeks, in France for just two days. Also noteworthy is the contribution of India, in which the platform quickly collected 8 million users.
This is the comment of Kevin Mayer, president of Disney's Direct-to-Consumer & International division:
“We are truly honored that Disney Plus is having this impact on millions around the world, and we believe it is a good sign of our continued expansion into Western Europe, Japan and all of Latin America later in the year. The great stories inspire and comfort us, and we are in the privileged position of being able to provide a wide range of quality entertainment based on goia and optimism on Disney Plus "
Definitely a good sign even if the numbers are still far from 161 million Netflix users, and obviously with cinemas and parks closed the success of the streaming platform is even more imperative for the entertainment giant.
