Despite the Coronavirus emergency, Nintendo closes the fiscal year in growth, with well 3.9 million di Nintendo Switch sold in the last quarter and with sales of Animal Crossing: New Horizons which arrive (according to sales on 31 March 2020) to ben 11.77 million of copies sold.
The news comes from Nintendo itself via the latest report aimed at investors. Over the past year, in fact, total sales of the hybrid console have reached 22 million of units sold, exceeding the set target of 18 million and reaching 57 million of units sold during generation. In addition, a monetary gain of well was recorded 1,3 trillion yen (11,3 billion euros) or 9% more than last year.
Finally, according to forecasts for next year, Nintendo expects a gain of 1,2 trillion yen and 19 million units sold by the end of March 2021.
