Twenty years have passed since the release of Baldur's Gate 2. In the following years, the role-playing video game received expansions and spin-offs, but no trace of a sequel despite the success. In 2019 though Larian Srudios released the first Baldur's Gate 3 teaser.
The details have been few so far, but since Twitter profile game official, an announcement came on May 29. Throughout the month of June there will be news, announcements and new details on Baldur's Gate 3.
Everything will begin on June 6, in the context of the Guerilla Collective Showcase, a series of broadcasts made to give visibility to independent developers during this pandemic period.

The original Baldur's Gate had been developed by BioWare, which however has not been involved in the game series since the early 2000s. Working on this new chapter is instead Larian Studios. A new trailer has also been released along with the news announcement.
Although short, this new trailer gives a good idea of what the game experience will be. From bow and arrow combat to spells, everything seems to respect the canons of the classic medieval fantasy role-playing game. There is still no precise release date for Baldur's Gate 3, but the announcement could be made just next month.
