One of the most important announcements of the PlayStation 5 presentation event was Resident Evil 8: Village, a title that fully mirrored some old rumors that we had reported.
The same insider who had anticipated everything now has declared that Capcom game will only arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and not on current consoles, for technical reasons. Initially also planned for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in the end Capcom had to cancel these versions as not performing enough.
(1/3) Okay, I got some clarification on why they made RE8 next-gen only, when it was cross-gen previously. With the updated graphic fidelity overhaul they're doing (still in progress), the way RE8 was designed lead to past-gen consoles having a lot of pop-in / long texture loads /

Lexcessive pop-up of the elements on the screen, as well as a too slow loading of textures especially in very large environments such as the main village, it therefore led the Japanese company to tack only on the next gen versions of Resident Evil 8: Village.
Excellent news for which confirms the graphic goodness of the game, a little less for those who would have liked to play the last chapter of the horror series on its current console.
