A few hours from the event Ubisoft Foward, during which it should be announced Far Cry 6, an earthquake shakes the French software house.
A press release published by the company on the night between Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July announces the resignation of Serge Hascoer, creative director and number two of the company. Together with him they also resigned Cecile Cornet, director of human resources, e Yannis Mallat, head of the Canadian division.
The resignation is the direct consequence of the sanctions that Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO, he promised after allegations of sexual harassment circulated in the last few weeks. To accuse the managers of the company were both employees and former employees, who had described the inappropriate behavior of executives on social networks.
Already early July other prominent Ubisoft executives had been forced to resign on similar charges. Following the press release Guillemot said:
“Ubisoft has failed to fulfill its task of ensuring a safe working environment for its employees. These toxic behaviors are incompatible with values that I consider non-negotiable "
