The launch of the GeForce RTX 3080 was, to put it down to earth, a disaster across the board. In a few minutes, the pre-orders for the new video card were canceled, partly due to the lack of sufficient stocks to meet the request, partly due to the speculators, ready to resell the new technological gadgets at a premium. For this, Nvidia has decided to take a step back to better prepare for the launch of the RTX 3070.

Through a post of theirs official blog, the green team has postponed the release on the market of the new video card, moving it from October 15th to the next October 29, 2020. Here is a small excerpt:

“Production of the GeForce RTX 3070 video cards is proceeding. Many of you have said that there should be more cards available at launch. To make this possible, we are moving the availability date to Thursday, October 29th. We know this could be disappointing for those who have been looking forward to buying a GeForce RTX 3070 as soon as possible, however this move will help our partners to give more graphics cards to you gamers.
