Pokémon Sword and Shield appears in the news for a strange case: a man was arrested for selling modified Sobble.

As reported by Asahi News, a 23-year-old man was arrested for selling Sobble Moddati (water-type starter of the eighth generation). The young man allegedly modded the game to change the characteristics of the pokémon and then resell it for 4.400 yen (40 euros). This is not an isolated case, the hacker would have earned approx 11.000 € through the sale of these pokémon, immediately triggering Nintendo's lawyers.

The charge is of violation ofUnfair Competition Prevention Act and, as is well known, the Kyoto House is relentless when it comes to violating its IP.

All that remains is to wait for the ruling of this absurd case.
