Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon CityThe film saga of resident evil it was as much appreciated by the mainstream public as it was repudiated by the purists of the videogame franchise, who could not help but welcome with a smile the news of a reboot that was much closer to this.

The director Johannes Roberts wanted confirm this intent, explaining that the film will be titled Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City and will deal with the events narrated in the first two chapters of the Capcom saga: it will therefore include both Villa Spencer and the famous police station, two iconic locations historically highly appreciated by fans of the brand.

Roberts (who previously directed 47 meters) seems intent on giving a greater weight to the darkest horror atmospheres, inspired by the style of John Carpenter in District 13 e The Fog, thus distancing itself strongly from the film series made by Paul WS Anderson with which it seems to have nothing to do.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City has a release date scheduled for September 2021.
