Sony has stated that the PS3, PSP and PS Vita PlayStation Stores will close permanently shortly. Here is the exact date.

Starting from the next 2 July it will no longer be possible to buy games or multimedia content on PS3 and PSP, while the same fate will befall PS Vita starting from August 27th. The credit left on your account can no longer be used on the aforementioned consoles, but you can reuse it on PS4 and PS5, on the PlayStation app or on the website.

It is important to remember that the titles you already own, including those redeemed via PS Plus, can be re-downloaded at your convenience without any limitation.

After years of honorable service on PS3 and PSP - and a little less on PS Vita - it's time to say goodbye to these old companions.
