Owners of Eye Quest 2 will soon be able to officially say goodbye to their Oculus Link cable for playing VR games on PC. Oculus announced that the standalone virtual reality headset will receive official support for wireless connection to PC via its new technology Oculus Air Link. The new feature will be introduced with the v28 update and will initially be available as an experimental mode before its full release, which is expected to happen later this year.

All this is possible via your home Wi-Fi network and allows you to play all VR titles. All this was still possible through the purchase of the Virtual Desktop app on Quest 2, owned by practically everyone who has this viewer. You still need a good connection, and it is recommended to use a 5 GHz. Oculus has also confirmed support for 120Hz within the v28 update.
