Microsoft it is not just Xbox, on the PC platform the Redmond house also represents graphic libraries DirectX, a fundamental component for any player and which in the latest version (DirectX 12 Ultimate) continues to be perfected.
Yesterday the Microsoft program manager Jacques van Rhyn ha announced the arrival of DirectX 12 Agility SDK, a new tool for developers and that promises to speed up the implementation process of new functions which will be added to Microsoft home libraries as the Shader Model 6.6, the new feature coming with the next update of Windows 10.
Among the various partners who have tested this new function we obviously have 343 Industries ed epic Games. Here are the words of Nick Penwarden, vice president of the software house behind Fortnite:
"Our collaboration with Microsoft on the DirectX 12 Agility SDK allows us to easily implement new features to the Unreal Engine, and the new distribution method helps us make them available faster to our developers and players."
