In just over 7 hours, Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, the remake of the first installment of the Nier series and previously only available in japan will arrive on Steam. However, some of the reviews released in the past few hours they showed once again Square Enix's shortcomings in PC optimization.

According to the newspapers PC GamesN PC Gamer, the PC version of Nier Replicant is a clear step forward compared to Nier Automata, a game that on PC has been over and over again criticized by the community. At the same time, reviewers have encountered several frame rate issues, with continuous ones slowdowns related to Steam Controller API and in some cases, the inability to play at frame rates higher than the classic 60 fps. For the latter particular, the absence of graphics options related to V-Sync brings the game to increase the speed of animations once 60 fps is exceeded.

What do you think? Square Enix will immediately work on one corrective patch or we should expect yet another case of review bombing?
