John Justice, one of the top executives of the Stadia project and deputy director of the platform, has left Google. He was only hired two years ago, in 2019.
Yesterday some sites, including The Information, began reporting John Justice's resignation as Deputy Director of Stadia. In the following hours Google has confirmed the news, wishing the now former executive the best of luck in his future projects.
Stadia is certainly going through a turbulent time. The farewell of Justice is not in fact the first of some importance that the project has had to record. In recent months, Jade Raymond, head of development of Google's Cloud Gaming platform, had also resigned.
These defections could be due to the clear change of course that Google has given to the project. In fact, at the beginning of February Stadia has closed its internal studios, abandoning their first-party game development projects.
