Last weekend Final Fantasy XIV surpassed its previous record of concurrently logged in users on Steam, reaching the figure of ben 47,542 players linked together.

The news comes from statistics official of the Valve platform, which record how the previous record for the MMORPG of Square Enix was of 41,200 achieved in June of the 2019, expansion launch period Shadowbringers.

The particular thing, however, is that at the moment the launch of the new (and latest) expansion of the title is not yet close, given that the release of Endwalker is scheduled for the next one November. One reason that could therefore explain this influx of players to Final Fantasy XIV could be found in the increasingly large piece of community that is detached from World of Warcraft, and therefore is looking for a new MMO to transfer to.
