If you're having a little trouble understanding what we're talking about, take a look at the Developer Diary below which provides an overview of the four different game modes: Recover XM, Domination, Deathmatch and Search and Destroy.

Developers Ratloop Games they had stated, during the PC Gaming Show in June, that a beta would arrive in July, and now we have the date. The trial period will run from 22 to 26 July. Seven characters will be included, each with unique weapons and abilities, two game modes (Recover XM and Domination) and four maps, all playable in five different game types.

1v1 turn-based: Each player takes turns playing with agents in the time loop
2v2 turn-based: Each player takes turns playing with agents in the time loop, one at a time
2v2 with teammates: Both players act simultaneously. There are also modes in local coop, in both 1v1 and 2v2.

The beta will be accessible on Steam through some keys made available on the feed Twitter of Lemnis Gate, on the server Discord or via Twitch Drops, but active alongside the beta. Ratloop said other ways to obtain the keys will be revealed soon.

Lemnis Gate will be released on August 3 on Steam and consoles and will be included on the first day on Game Pass.
