Last January, a few weeks after the release of Elden Ring, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware were forced to close the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition multiplayer PvP and Coop servers, Dark Souls 2 e Dark Souls 3, due to a vulnerability which - at worst - allowed a user to check remotely another player's computer (also called Remote Code Execution).
Four months after closing, the Dark Souls community continues to navigate a dense fog waiting for updates on the situation. Fortunately, the newspaper PC Gamer managed to contact Bandai and FromSoftware, obtaining a short press release confirming the arrival (hopefully very soon) of new updates.
“We are planning to gradually restore online services for each game once the necessary work is completed to correct the problem. We will provide you with further updates as soon as we have a date. We thank our players for their patience and understanding as we work to fix the problem. "
